Himalayan Pink salt blocks are harvested from deep within the Himalayan Mountain range in Northern Pakistan. Being protected from pollution and impurities for millions of years, it is the purest salt in the world. Initially mined in large boulders, it is then sliced into blocks, slabs and bricks, plates and even sculpted into bowls.

Due to the unique lattice formation of the crystal, it has very low moisture content and porosity. Because of this, it can be heated to a very high temperature. When cooking on it, its lack of porosity means that the salt that impacts on the food is minimal but hugely flavoursome.
